There were also a few new cars that debut here at NHRA Atco, like this
new all motor 98' Saturn own by Nick Novak. Kenny Trans Quaker
State 93'Civic. Mike Crawford's Mopar 2003 Neon and Jeremy Lookofsky's
2002 Honda coupe.
Jimmy O'conner's Venom Supra lined up against Cesar Febus 86' 300zx. Jimmy made the win with a 8.163@161mph against Cesar's 8.236@146mph.
Luis Cujo made an exhibition pass after the repair of the trigger sensor and ran a 9.87@144mph. Paul Efrantis MSP 97' Supra had a lot of problems at this NHRA event and broke during the elimination's.
Remember that grind of Vinny ten I was telling you about. Well he pulled a 8.23@165mph and that was with alot of slipping and sliding down the track and the 60ft was unlike we ever seen from Vinny. No more bugs!
Chris Rado lined up his 2003 Celica against Jarrod Silvers 2003 Civic and Rado seem to just have his way with an impressive 8.65@176mph which made the quickest past for the Pro FWD of this event.
This Mazda 6 owned by Ed Bergenholtz was also a new debut and he lined up then won against the 2003 Neon.
Grant Drowning's 2002 Tundra of Team Venom made an impressive 7.94@176mph with a lot of slipping and sliding.
When you see the street glow Mini past by the pit lane, be sure to look for Ara or George to line up next. This time it was George Ioannou and he made a slippery 7.662@170mph.
Matt Scranton made the quickest pass of the day with their new v6 powered Turbonetic Celica. Matt turned a 7.249@187mph but it caught fire after it crossed the finish line caused by a trans oil leak. The fire was quickly put out, so damage wasn't too bad although he was out for the remainder of this event.
A leak meant clean up time. Joe was not happy with the track conditions and an hour of clean up time was necessary. Vince and the Atco security crew kept things cool during operation clean up and pointed us to the right direction.
The direction was towards the bikini contest that was about to begin.........
