IDRC East Coast Finals...  Maple Grove, PA  September 28, 2003

After a long night in Connecticut for Import Gen, we set out for IDRC Maple Grove Sunday morning.  It was raining off and on in New York City, but we called and got confirmation that it was not raining in Pennsylvania.  Although we  were not looking forward to another 2 hour trip, it has been a while since we inhaled some VP racing fuel and plus we wanted to see the racers go heads up for the winnings.

We were first to see and talk with Vinny seven's aka Vinny Ten the reclaimed undisputed world fastest Supra in its class.  Vinny was very enthused about pursuing his quest in continuing to break his 7.78 ET record.

We also met and spoke with the owner of this street Supra that was setup and tuned by NYC Performance Factory.  It was Warren's first time out with the Supra and he made some impressive passes with his Supra he called "the beast".

We was surprised to see Ron Lummun's California Bug here at Maple Grove.  Its best time to date is 8.20’s.  Also met up with Mark owner of NOYAN USA, a company that  imports JDM engines and transmissions.  He is located in Manasses Virginia and has a large stock of JDM clips, engines and parts so check him out when you are ready.

A perfect look………..Yes another wide body kit 2000 Celica with lamborghini doors that is nicely done inside and out.

A few Supra’s came to Maple Grove to lay it down.  Running in the PRO RWD/AWD Class was Robert Viscosi  with his red 95 Supra sponsored by sw-performance ran an impressive 11.80@105mph.

Also in the Pro RWD class was this silver Supra is a 1998 owned by Matthew Miller of Maryland and he ran a 11.36.  His best time of this event is a 10.35@141mph.

Warren with the black 93 Supra ran in the BRGoodrich tire street Class.  After doing an awesome 50 feet burnout, he then backed it up with a 10.30@139mph.

Running in the Quick Class was Paul Efantis in his 97 Supra.  On this run the MSP supra red lighted and ran a 9.20@173mph.  Its best time for the event was a 8.29@170mph.

Vinny ten lined up to lay it down in the OutLaw class and he breaks his own recorded with a 7.73@176mph.  Later Vinny lined up for the finals and nailed the stop clock at 7.65@177mph.

Chris Rado also ran in the Outlaw class had problems on Sunday, but he made a best pass of 8.48@166mph on Saturday.

Although the day was full with over cast, the rain never came.  This was certainly a race for the racers and it was their time to tune, break records and get ready for the next NHRA event at English town next week.  Stay tuned...........
