Back in 2000 when I met with the Paisley team, my car took recognition with a lot of local gurus of the area and one of them was Alfie, owner of Vickers Racing Products. Alfie specializes in building manifolds, intakes, fuel rails and crafty plumbing. I assure you he is not limited to just that and Alfie can build anything with excellent preciseness and craftsmanship. He is truly the man!
About 2 weeks later my boy Fish and I managed to tow my car to Alfie to have him build the custom header. After seeing a few samples of his crafty work, I was sure to have him finish the entire plumbing and turbo down pipe.
A week later Alfie already had a flange made my cylinder head. My car did not give him much space to work with and being that he had to work around my A/C, and power steering pump, it made this header very challenging to build. To make matters even worst, the turbo was twice the size of the stock ct12 so Alfie had to designate a spot to position it for the best possible fit. I went to Georgia for a 10-day vacation and thought of nothing other then my car being finished. When I arrived back from GA, I quickly went to check up on Alfie’s progress with my project. Alfie is the Man!!!
All piping is 2.5” and all of Alfie products are stamp “VRP” sealed and approved.
Now that Alfie had finished his part, it was time to tow the car back to Paisley for Rashame to finish up few more things I wanted done. This is where the EP71 distributor was implemented, LX 92 Crane Coil, and all the clamps and hoses were put in place. Being that my battery was now relocated to the trunk, I took advantage of the space where the battery was and had Rashame build me a platform for the ignition system.
At this point, the car was running but I had only a down pipe and needed a full exhaust done. My old pipes were 2.25" and I wanted to upgrade all to 2.5" to the muffler.
